Beautiful late C19th hand-painted Madonna and Child on porcelain plate set in a Gothic wooden frame featuring intricate carvings and spiral columns. The painting is after Nicolo Barabino's 'Madonna dell' Olivo' and was produced at the Doccia porcelain studio near Florence. In very good condition with attractive age related wear. The shrine can be hung or set on a shelf, mantlepiece, table etc.
